Well, it's been 8 years, but I'm finally back in Seattle. Kelly and I got into town early enough to have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then we wondered down to Pikes Place Market and to the waterfront. I forgot how good Seattle feels. The smells, the ocean, the people....it just feels good to be here.
We were also able to go to a Mariners game last night. They were playing the Toronto Blue Jays, and unfortunately, the Mariners lost. It was cool, though, to be there on 9/11, as they had several tributes that warmed my heart. I'll never forget the "God Bless America" rendition in the seventh inning stretch.
